I'm selling my 2013 Kia Rio 5-door hatchback.
This has been a great little car for me for about 4 years, but recent life changes (good ones!) have me looking for something a little newer (and I inherited a truck which takes up a lot of room in the driveway but has become my daily driver.)
Very fun-to-drive 6-speed manual. I had never even considered a Kia before I test drove this car and loved it right away!
The good...
- Good all-season tires, it has barely been driven in 6 months – not completely sitting, but not a daily driver anymore. These tires have 12,000 miles on them.
- When I got this car, it only included a patching kit and no spare tire. So, when I got this set of tires, I had them give me a FULL-size spare wheel with a brand new tire on it as well – no donut! I am also including a brand new jack because the car did not come with that either.
- Oil last changed only 1,100 miles ago.
- Manual-crank windows – one less $400 mechanism to break! Old school!
- Gears shift well and it is very fun to drive, I've always preferred a manual transmission
- Not smoked in.
- Seats are in very good shape, could use a little upholstery cleaning.
- No foul odors or smoke, engine seems to be in great working order.
- CD Player and radio work. Sirius capable.
- Heat and A/C are good.
- Two 12-volt “cigarette lighter” ports, Aux and USB ports as well
The quirks...
- I had an ignition switch a couple of years ago when the key got stuck, but the locksmith did not re-key the doors. Therefore there is one key for unlocking doors/trunk, and the other for starting the car. I got used to it very quickly, it's not the worst thing in the world for a 12 year old car.
- It sometimes has trouble these days starting back up, after stopping for gas or food, but always eventually starts and has never left me stranded. I'm sure someone who knows more about cars could tell me what would be causing that.
- Some paint issues on the hood and roof simply from age and living most of its life in the sun.
I was originally going to post for $5,000, but I think the restart issue is probably the fuel pump, so I am already knocking it down to $4,000 to mitigate that cost.
Title in hand. Preferably meet at a bank to get that notarized and pay by cashier's check.
Thank you for your interest!
