I drive it at 2500-2700 rpm on 94 Octane gas.
It gets an excellent 37 miles per gallon of gas.
We have made it a remarkable rust free Karmann Ghia by:
* cutting out 13 body panels
* welding in 13 new body panels
* coating the new body panels with an anti-rust compound POR 15
* undercoating the underside of the body with anti-rust compound
SINCE 13 NEW BODY PANELS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE,IiT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO DO THIS NOW.
* It has never had a dent or scratch on it. It has always been garaged, this last winter here was so cold I heated the garage to 70 deg.
* It has a new top, new interior headliner, and boot
* new paint
* new carburetor
* 4 new tires
* brakes and clutch work fine
* interior is beautiful, upholstery is like new
^ dash has no cracks
* carpeting is new
* original radio still works, car has a new speaker
* warning whistle still blairs if a door is open or if the key is still in the ignition
