Kordick Family Farm will be open from 11 am - 4 pm on Saturday, November 8th, for tree pickup and shopping the delicious jams, jellies, syrup, etc. in our orchard store. Dozens of varieties of Certified Naturally Grown heirloom apple trees will be available in varying sizes (one year-old whips are $20 and larger sizes are available for $45 and up). Please email us in advance for a list of the available varieties -- we will have local favorites like 'Pilot' and 'Smith's Seedling,' hard cider varieties like 'Redfield' and 'Graniwinkle,' obscure treasures like 'Api Etoile' and 'Anise Russet,' and so many more. We will also have smaller quantities of pear and fig trees for sale. If you would like to see a list of varieties that we'll have available on 11/8, please email us ahead of the event.
Visitors, please remember that we can only accept cash or checks for payment at Kordick Family Farm. We cannot allow pre-sale tree shopping, but if you cannot make it out on November 8th, please contact us to set up a time to come out at a later date.
We are often asked when the best time is to plant an apple tree. Now! In late fall, when the trees are dropping their leaves and going dormant, it's a great time to plant as the trees can leisurely establish over the remainder of the fall and winter, when water needs are low and there is no foliage to support, then hit the ground running in spring.
