We are seeking a reliable, compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our mobile veterinary practice. No prior veterinary experience is required—we are willing to train the right candidate. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with animals and people, is dependable, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Assist the veterinarian during appointments and procedures
* Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats
* Help set up and clean equipment and supplies
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mobile unit
* Prepare medications, laboratory samples, and patient records as directed
* Communicate professionally with clients
* Assist with patient care, treatments, and diagnostics
Qualifications
* No veterinary experience necessary; training provided
* Valid driver’s license required
* Must have reliable personal transportation
* Comfortable working with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
*Must be able to safely lift and assist with handling dogs weighing 50 pounds or more, with assistance available for larger patients
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
