I am a 68 year old divorced man with some ongoing health issues. I own my 3 bed, 2 bath home in East Bend close to the Yadkin River off Hwy 67. I live alone and the upkeep of the home and yard are getting to be a little much. I have a contract agreement for a buyer but struggling to find a place to relocate. I filed Chapter 13 3 years ago when major surgery put me out of work for an extended time. That has my credit rating unacceptable for management companies to rent to me. And I have a criminal conviction from 40 years ago that is also an issue that has resulted in rental denials. I paid my dues, been a good citizen and raised a daughter but the background still haunts me. I'm a clean cut man, responsible, and pay my bills. I hope to find a property owner who is open minded and compassionate enough to give me a break. I work part time, draw Social Security, and willing to maintain a place like it is mine. I have construction experience that makes me capable of helping with issues that might arise on your rental. Hopefully this will find someone willing to talk to me soon.
