Do you need Windows XP for all your old software? Working with old code at work? "Be the Hot Shot! at work that can use all the old programs!!!" Old Games perhaps? or do you just miss XP's Awesomeness? Well look no further!!! Windows XP is alive and still kicking in 2025!!! an this notebook is an Oldie and a Goldie from the XP Era! (It's Also a great Notebook for Pin Testers just grab the last 32bit Live Version of Kali "kali.linux.live.i386.2024.3.iso", I will copy it to the HDD if you want!)

What makes "This Notebook" so great is that it's been rebuilt!
Here's my reasoning and Math Wi-fi $40 "You cant even get a decent Desktop Adapter for that sometimes!", Modem $40, HDD $40, Battery $20, RAM $20, See that's Already $160 for the quality components "That's all your Really Buying!!!" Not the Semi-Obsolete Hardware that they have to be used with... You can always put them in a better Notebook that fit their specs!
I am not trying to rip you off, This isn't a scam!!! Look the components up on eBay if you don't see it.... If your not happy with it as a Retro XP/Linux PC, I'll consider shooting myself out of disbelief, Technological Humiliation, and my apparently wasted time, if my GF doesn't blow my head off first for tweaking it so much and ignoring her!!! and because i believe in this Notebook, and just for this sale I'll hold your money for 30days without spending it if your not happy with it in 30days, bring it back to get your money back. Seriously not a scam and wouldn't blame you for being skeptical, especially with so many scams online today...
If you just want the software keep reading, you don't have to buy the Notebook and/or return it to get it! "Don't do that to me!, I will get you copy's for you! without you having to purchase the notebook."
0. You could use a Virtual Machine but you don't get the driver advantage of the live environment!", You could install XP Mode on Windows 7 and that works, but you don't really get the Novelty's of XP, LogonUI.exe Mods, XP Themes, Etc.
1. It has a 2.1ghz Pentium M "I put a Liberal amount of Thermal grease on it, not the minimum dell puts on it, Its Good!"
2. It has 2gb of DDR2 333mhz "Windows XP caps @3.5gb that can be changed to 4gb, you could put in 2x 2gb Modules, but windows only uses 512mb and the OB GFX Adapter is set at 512gb, That gives your programs a Gig, so i don't see the point in it, although i would if i had the modules, You probably could get them at a low price, do, do if you can manage."
3. It has a Internal Atheros Wi-Fi Adapter not the Crappy Stock Broadcom "The Adapter has a Strong, Very long 2g/5g Range, around 1/4 Mile!" Works with Commview and Kali Linux "Live", "That's also included, if your a Pin Tester or Hacker"
4. It has a Internal Motorola Modem not the Crappy Stock Conexant "Its Awesome for Dial up users and Phreakers! "Works with Modemspy and Kali Linux "Live", "That's also included, if your a Pin Tester, Hacker, or Phreaker!"
5. The Crappy Chinese Speakers, Fan, Heatsinks, CD-R/DVD Drive, Battery, Memory Cover with the Home Key "Now Pro.", and LCD have been replaced with ones from the A04 Ver. from Taiwan "Known for their awesome components!" The A04 i got for parts booted slow so i assumed it problematic, but will throw it in! if you want to use it instead.

The Stock HDD has been Replaced with a 100gb Hitachi Travelstar 7200RPM the seek time on it is above Dell's stock and hits the transfer Cap for the controller. and its Storage Partition is full of "Most!, especially Open Source Apps. Gimp, Etc." of the XP Software ever made! "Well i know it has all the important stuff!" Including Hirens Boot CD 15.2 "To Repair it from a Live! XP Environment", XP Pro. SP3 Integral Edition 2024 "2025 Coming Soon!" with MyPal Browser (Backported Firefox) "The only Browser for Windows XP!, Browse the internet just fine with XP in 2025!!!" and Firefox ESR is installed with Thunderbird, XP Embedded SP2, Plus! & Plus Digital Media Edition "All those Awesome Themes you never had!", Encarta 2009, Visual Studio 2005/MSDN, Macromedia Suite including Dreamweaver, A Driver Disk that has all the XP Drivers Ever on it! "When you install a new device just select Search CD in the Device Manager and it will find the driver", Unofficial SP4 "If you want to install it although i don't need a POS ready Ver. of XP" Photoshop CS, Soundforge 8, Maya, 3d Max 7, Commview "For Pin Testing Hacking you some free Wi-Fi!", Modemspy "Tap. Also it has the 64bit Pro. if you get a 64bit PC. Load all the ISO's with Alcohol 120% that's your Virtual Drive, or Burn them off! I removed the HDD Caddy Screws for striping and replaced them with Pan Heads that secured it better, and hold it flusher. "Their on the bottom you or no one else will notice."
7. "Gamers" It has Half-Life "GOTYE", Blueshift, Team Fortress, Opposing Forces and Counterstrike! "The Original Dump CD!" You have to update it from WON to play it though! and Uplink! "If your a Hacker!" Play all you old games!!! It even has all the NES, SNES, Genesis, Etc. Rom's and Emulators. A Wired PS3 Controller works best!!! "$10 eBay!" Also it doesn't have the chop in games that Vista and up are associated with!
8. It can run Windows 7 & 10 32bit Versions. It just operates slower due to the bigger demands of System Resources as you progress to a Newer Windows OS.
you can Dual Boot XP/7 or 10 with GRUB2 "or any good Boot Loader if you spit the 50gb Primary Patrion "I Would use Partition Magic, Comes with!", You can even Try Boot, but i wouldn't recommend it, because 25gb is barely enough to install all your Apps and Docs to XP, and if your going to use 7 just transfer the Wi-Fi/Modem to a Faster Notebook, Dell Designed this one for XP. "Remember to install XP first on the C:\ Partition because if you install it to D:\ XP will install some your Apps/Settings to C:\ anyway which will work, but that is extremely disorganized!
Problems:
1.For The Life of me i could not find a keyboard for it, even on eBay!, so i adjusted a keyboard to work with it you cant use the Red Pointing Device that would be there.
2. It is true a Dell XPS 13 Would be Ideal for this project, but their harder to take apart and put back together and their more expansive! I've heard a Lenovo T43 works great, If you can get your hands on one of those at a Lower Price than this "Do that!, I would, and wouldn't hold it against you", and I'll give you the software "I would recommend you bring me a 64gb Thumb Drive $8 at Best Buy for you to put the software on, or if you just want it for any purpose."
